School Uniform 2024/25

Maintaining high standards of school uniform is proven to raise children’s aspirations and increase rates of improvement in schools. Childwall Sports and Science Academy have made significant improvements over the last two years.

Our Uniform (Years 7-11)

TIES: 24-25 tie colours are:

  • Year 7 Green
  • Year 8 Purple
  • Year 9 White
  • Year 10 Red
  • Year 11 Yellow

B​LAZERS:
Blazers are navy blue with a red trim and have our school badge on the pocket.

JUMPERS AND CARDIGANS:

J​umpers and cardigans are navy blue with a red trim and have the school badge on the left side. However, these are preferred but not essential (plain navy blue jumpers or cardigans can be worn if preferred.)

ADDITIONAL UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS:

White shirt (shirts must have a top fastening button and must be tucked in at all times.)
Grey trousers or skirt
Black polishable shoes

BAGS AND EQUIPMENT:

Year 7 will be given a free school bag, including a pencil case full of essential equipment, a water bottle and a planner.

PE KIT:

PE kits are compulsory and consist of a choice of:
  • A button-up polo shirt or a a v-neck shirt
  • A​ pair of shorts or a skort
  • A​ fleece, long sleeved top
  • Navy tracksuit bottoms
  • Plain trainers.

Acceptable Footwear

Additional Information

Students need to have a weather-proof outdoor coat. It must be dark coloured and ideally without logos showing.

No headwear should be worn anywhere inside the school building. Headscarves worn for religious reasons must be plain navy-blue, black or grey.

Students may wear one pair of small ear studs. No other facial piercings are permitted. Nose piercings, lip piercings, tongue piercings or any other form of piercings are not allowed in our school.

Hair must be neat and presentable. Unnatural hair colours, false nails and false eyelashes are not permitted. Natural subtle make up may be worn. Subtle nail polish may also be worn by students.

Mouth guards are recommended for Rugby. They can be obtained via: https://www.opro.com/

Football boots are required for all winter field sports and trainers for hard court activities.
