PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Physical Education is delivered to our pupils through a number of sports and physical activities. ‘Enjoyment’ is the key to future and further participation in all physical activities. All lessons are centred on pupils enjoying the sport/activity through small sided competitive games. As a department we aim to keep the ‘Physical’ in Physical Education, this means that pupils are mainly performing but also leading and officiating in a range of sports. Opportunities to compete in sport and other activities build character and help to embed values such as fairness and respect.
The PE curriculum includes athletics, badminton, basketball, cricket, dance, fitness training, football, gymnastics (including trampolining), hockey, leadership, netball, rounders, rugby, softball, table tennis and outdoor adventurous activities.
